tubing and easy kayaking experiences on the North Toe River. Our trips are designed for
families, first-time paddlers, and anyone looking to enjoy a safe, peaceful day on the water.
Rooted in the Loafers Glory community, we focus on responsible recreation that supports the
ongoing recovery and long-term health of the North Toe River.

Loafers Glory Rafting is officially back on the river. Thank you for your patience and support—we’re looking forward to another great season.
Tubing Trips
We’re currently offering two tubing trips each day:
- 10:30 AM Departure
- 1:30 PM Departure
Each trip is limited to 20 guests, so we encourage you to book early to secure your preferred departure time.
For now, we’ll be operating five days a week while we continue making improvements around the property. This allows us to provide the best possible experience for every guest while completing ongoing restoration projects.
Our inflatable kayak trips remain on hold as we continue restoring safe access to our kayak route. We’ll announce their return as soon as they’re ready.
River Conditions
Western North Carolina continues to experience drought conditions, and the North Toe River is running lower than normal. Tubing is still a fun and enjoyable experience, but you may occasionally need to step out and walk your tube through shallow areas.
To help provide the best possible experience during the current low-water conditions, our tubing weight limit is 275 pounds per person. This allows our tubes to perform their best, even in shallower sections of the river. We appreciate your understanding, and if you have any questions before booking, we’re always happy to help.
